Your work makes me smile. I especially like your doodle of the robot. I'm only an amateur, but I think that you can get deeper color saturation by 1) blending with your finger, applying a fixative, then adding another layer of color, or 2) pressing the pastel harder into the paper to produce an impasto, which will fill the grain in the paper and create more color saturation. You could also try experimenting with oil pastels just for fun; the pastel goes on much thicker with those. Hope that helps!

Loveable lady. I love pastels and use them to relax. It is a question if I use more the colours or my fingertips.
